Android POS: Android pos normally has screen size: 16:9, so their screen is normally 10.1″, 15.6″, 21.5″. And Android motherboard is normally smaller than Windows, so Android pos can be slimer.
Windows POS: In the past, most windows pos has screen size: 4:3, so their screen is normally 15″, and 17″ . Now some windows pos also use 15.6″ .
Function:
Android POS: Android POS normally originally with cash drawer port, and the RAM and SSD can’t changed as they are onboard.
Windows POS: Some Windows POS come with cash drawer port and some is not.
Normally you can upgrade the RAM and SSD at Windows POS, they are not onboard.
Security:
Android POS: Security depends heavily on updates from the manufacturer and the implementation of security practices by the user.
Windows POS: Known for robust security features and regular updates from Microsoft, but requires diligent management to ensure all patches and updates are applied.
Performance:

Service Time:
Android POS: Normally after 3 years it will be more and more slower and even stucked like Android cellphone.
Windows POS: Can service longer time than Android POS , some Windows POS even working for more than 10 years. Even it become slower response, you can upgrade the RAM and SSD to make it faster.
So Android POS and Windows POS both has its own advantage , it all depends on your preference to choose it.
